Drop-in

Borderlands Drop-in for Refugees, Asylum Seekers and people with immigration problems offers a safe place where you can meet people and get help.

These sessions provide:

  • a free hot meal and food bags
  • recreational activities and friendships
  • free English language classes (ESOL)
  • support and advice from our volunteers and other refugees and asylum seekers
  • access to other service providers including medical support (NHS Primary Health Care), Ashley Community Housing, and the Red Cross

Mondays, 9.30am to 12noon

For people with immigration problems, asylum seekers and refugees.
English language classes (ESOL); free hot drinks and a lunch of sandwiches, salads and snacks.

Tuesdays, 9.30am to 3pm

For people with immigration problems, asylum seekers and refugees.
English language classes (ESOL); art and crafts; table tennis; table tennis; hot drinks and hot lunch.
We regularly distribute bags of donated groceries (canned & dried food).
We offer a ‘form-filling’ service to enable members to respond to letters and forms written in English.
We regularly invite other agencies attend the Drop-in to help members including The Haven (medical support); Red Cross (access to benefits and contact with family overseas); and Ashley Community Housing (National Careers Advice).
