Mentoring project

mentoringBorderlands was awarded funding by The People’s Project, in partnership with ITV and the Big Lottery Fund, to launch a Mentoring Programme.

The Mentoring project has trained 90 volunteers as mentors for asylum seekers and refugees. Mentors will forge strong one-to-one relationships with asylum seekers and refugees and will be a vital point of advice and support. Mentors will help refugees to gain important local knowledge and skills that allow them to manage for themselves the sort of everyday situations that most of us take for granted. It will enable refugees to make their own way in life and help them to lead independent, productive, fulfilled lives.

We currently do not have any volunteering opportunities.
